Association of Contingency Planners Announces New Webinar Series
Throughout 2011, ImpactWeather will be hosting a series of webinars on behalf of the Association for Contingency Planners and the first one, Human Resiliency Within the Supply Chain, will take place at 10:30C on Wednesday, April 20th. This is a free, one-hour webinar that will focus on human resilience and logistics within the supply chain.
Inspired by the horrific and historic challenges that Japan is currently facing, this webinar will focus on “supply chains that have expanded globally resulting in organizations that have outsourced more of their services. These solutions rely heavily on technology to manage their complexities. The benefits of expansion and technology include flexibility, redundancy and efficiency – but these have come at the cost of increased fragility. Simply put, supply chains, logistics and the technologies that support them have become more prone to disruptions as footprint and interdependencies increase.” The quotes are from the invitation and webinar attendees will also obtain access to a whitepaper on the topic.
The presenter of this first webinar is Ann Coss, president of Personal Recovery Concepts and a veteran speaker on the subject. For more information and to register, hit the GoTo page. As of this morning, more than 170 people have signed up to attend but there’s still space if you’re interested.
