"Impact A Hero" Makes A Real Difference

[ImpactWeather Account Manager Alison Caine, pictured below, guest-blogs @YWB today.]

Today I’m honored to write about an organization called Impact A Hero which supports veterans wounded or disabled while fighting the War on Terror.  This year we have many participants from the ImpactWeather and Universal Weather families who are coming out to show support for this cause by volunteering or running in the Impact A Hero 5k Run, Walk, Wheel challenge.

I remember participating in the 5K run 2 years ago and what a wonderful experience it was.  Certainly the first weekend of June in Houston can bring challenges regarding the heat, however, any weather-related obstacles pale in comparison to the ones facing our veterans wounded while fighting for our freedom.  Impact A Hero Weekend is this weekend and we’re looking forward to being there again.

We’re excited to support for such a great cause.  To learn more about how you can be a part of Impact A Hero or to donate, please visit
